Rohan Murphy Irish Dance Academy is delighted to host CLRG Grade Exams the weekend of November 2/3rd! On one of the days, we will offer a Dancer Dress Rehearsal Practice/Assessment open to all dancers.  Our grade examiner, Margaret Cleary will be in attendance and is willing to provide feedback to dancers. Day/time schedule will be based on participation. The following categories are offered:  Traditional Sets, Championship, Teams. 

Saturday November 2nd- Dancer Practice/Assessment will be held at Charlotte Wood Middle School, 600 El Capitan Dr, Danville CA

Sunday November 3rd- Exams will be held at the RMIDA Studio in Danville: 101-E Town and Country Drive, Danville CA 

Important for this year: Dancers must provide evidence of having completed previous grade exams, where applicable.

Permission: Please consult your TCRG for information and permission before applying for the Grade exams or Practice/Assessment 

Grades: Exams will run from 1 through 10. You can attempt no more than 3 at a time. Dances: Please see the grid below for the required dances.

LENGTH: Please note dances are 40 bars, which equates to 2.5 steps

Grade 1: Easy reel, Easy Jig $30

Grade 2: Easy Slip Jig, Easy Single Jig $30

Grade 3: Primary Reel, Traditional Hard Jig $30

Grade 4: primary Slip Jig, St Patrick's Day $35

Grade 5: Advance Reel, Traditional Hornpipe & Walls of Limerick $35

Grade 6: Advanced Slip Jig, Blackbird & Siege of Ennis $35

Grade 7: Advanced heavy Jig, Garden of Daisies & 4 hand reel $50

Grade 8: Advanced Hornpipe, Job of Journey Work & Humours of Bandon $50

Grade 9: One Jig Set, One Hornpipe Set & High Cauled Cap $50

Practice/Assessment:

Championship (all three rounds) $40

Traditional Sets $20

Ceili Teams $10 (flat fee)
